Sheila June Long

Mrs. Sheila June Long age 67, of Hixson, Tennessee passed away Sunday January 29, 2023. 

Sheila was born January 23, 1956, in Rochester, New York, to Harry L Ryan and Wanda Swack Ryan.   She was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ. Sheila loved singing, taking pictures, videography, cooking, entertaining family, and friends.  She enjoyed reading, especially to her grandchildren, and planning family vacations. Sheila also loved her many “bonus kids” that called her Mama Sheila.

She was preceded in death by her father Harry L. Ryan, and her stepfather James T. McCamy.   

Surviving are her devoted husband of 40 years Greg Long.  Mother Wanda June Mccamy, stepmother Jean Ryan.  Children; Heather Greene (Nathan), and Jason Long (Stephanie). Siblings; Lisa Ruiz (Raul), Steve McCamy (Carolyn), Tony McCamy (Emily), Mike O’Brien (Vicki), Barbara Orfanos (George), Sue Vlasic, and Elieen Klenk (Mike).  Grandchildren; Mason Long, Chloe Long, Bryce Greene, and Brooklynn Greene.  Several nieces and nephews also survive. 

A Celebration of life service will be held Friday February 3, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. in the Coulter Chapel of the Lane Funeral Home.  Interment will follow in the Hamilton County Memorial Park. 

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M., and on Friday from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Hospice of Chattanooga, or the charity of your choice in Sheila’s memory.
