Yvette Denise Ragan

Yvette Denise McCormick Ragan, 61, of Chattanooga, passed away Wednesday, November 15, 2023.  She was a loving wife, sister, aunt and friend.  She was a saint, compassionate and loving.  She loved children and had a hand in hundreds of children growing up.  Yvette worked at 1st Cumberland Presbyterian Nursery for 35 years and retired from both Blue Cross and Cigna.  She helped care for her parents, grandparents and in-laws with a loving heart.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Peggy McCormick; brother, Michael McCormick; grandmother Margie Lawson; and in-laws, Grady Ragan Jr., Mary Ragan and Alma S. Ragan.

Survivors include her husband of 36 years, Grady Avery Ragan III; sister, Becki McCormick; brothers: Joshua McCormick, Chris McCormick and David McCormick; nieces and nephews: Nicole Benjamin (John Butler), Erica McCormick, Hana McCormick, and other nieces and nephews also survive; great-nieces and nephew: Avianna, Theo and Eleanor.

Visitation is 4:00-8:00 pm Friday and 10:00-2:00 Saturday at Lane Funeral Home, Ashland Terrace.  Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Saturday in the Coulter Chapel of Lane Funeral Home with Reverend Brandon Hookey officiating.  Interment will be 10:00 am Monday in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
