William “Ronnie” Widener, 69, of Chattanooga, passed away Monday, February 1st, 2021. Ronnie was born in Mobile, Alabama on September 29th, 1951. Predeceased by his father, Harold Widener. Survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Rhyma Wilson Widener, and mother, Louverne Widener. Lovingly remembered by his son, Ryan Widener, daughter-in-law, Anne Widener, and grandsons, William and Jude. Ronnie was an avid NASCAR and TN football fan. He also loved the outdoors; fishing and camping were two of his favorite hobbies. Ronnie was also known to be an excellent cook. He loved having his family over for a homemade meal. Ronnie had a giving spirit and never missed an opportunity to give to charity. He genuinely loved spending time with his grandsons; he especially loved having them over during the summer to swim. Visitation will be held Thursday, February 4th from 4:00pm to 6:00pm at Lane Funeral Home with memorial service to follow in the Coulter Chapel of lane Funeral Home at 6:30pm.
