William "Bug" Owens

William Allen “Bug” Owens, 75, of Hixson, passed away Wednesday, September 21, 2022.  Bug grew up in the Suck Creek community and later joined the United States Army, where he served his country in the Vietnam war. 

He was preceded in death by his daughters, Kristy and Becky Owens; parents, Clark “Hoggie” and Ella Mae Owens; brothers, Bobby and David Owens; and grandparents, Fred and Bertha McNabb.

Survivors include his daughter, April Owens; brother, Lonnie (Joyce) Skyles; sister Kim (Eddie) Dodd; sisters-in-law, Kathy Owens and Marie Owens; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Visitation is 12:00 - 8:00 pm Sunday and 10:30-11:30 am Monday at Lane Funeral Home on Ashland Terrace.  Funeral services are 11:30 am in the Coulter Chapel of Lane Funeral Home with Pastor Brad Harris officiating.  Interment will follow at 1:00 pm in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
