Willa Dene Overton

Willa Dene Overton, 87, resident of Summit View Senior Community in Chattanooga, TN passed away July 16, 2020.  She was born Willa Dene Davidson in Lewisburg, TN, October 28, 1932.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Coleman Wade and Ann (Leigh) Margaret Davidson.  Survivors include her sister, Teresa (Horace, Jr.) Hill of Chapel Hill, TN, brother, Wade (Julie) Davidson of Tucson, AZ and her four children, David (Kathleen) Overton of Chattanooga, TN, Andrea Harrison of Manchester, TNAmy Bruner of Knoxville, TN, and Carey (Matt) Winsett of Lewisburg, TN.  Her family includes 12 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, as well as many wonderful friends both lifelong and new that she treasured. Affectionately known, Willa Dene / Dene / Deno loved pop culture, humor, drama, current events, any social situation and she never met a stranger. She had a charitable heart for children, animals, the homeless and as a giving soul enlisted in organ donation following her death. A Memorial Service will be a announced at a later date.  In lieu of flowers the family wishes memorials in her name to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, The Chattanooga Rescue Mission or your local animal shelter.
