Wayne Hollis Rudd

Hollis Rudd, 66, passed away unexpectedly on June 8, 2020, due to complications of an elective surgery. He was born June 1, 1954 and was a retiree of IBM as well as the owner/operator of Surveillance Systems, LLC. He was kind, generous, and one of the most helpful people you could ever meet. Nothing gave him more joy than "fixing" your problems creatively, and he often anticipated your needs before you knew you needed it. He was delighted to see the pleasure on the faces of the people he cared for, and he worked for cookies. He was a husband, father, brother, uncle, friend, and loved by all. A quiet, gentle giant of a man, and those of us that knew and loved him will feel a void for many years to come. He is preceded in death by his parents, James H. and Oca Mae Gilley Rudd, and his faithful companion, Wags. He is survived by his wife, Amanda Rouse Rudd, son, Adam (Jessica) Rudd, daughter, Jennifer (Brandon) Tidwell, brothers, Steve (Debbie) Rudd and Earl (Myra) Young, best friends, Chuck Grant and Jerry Fine, as well as a large number of extended family, friends, customers, and business associates. In order to give everyone the opportunity to pay their respects to Hollis in as safe a manner as they feel comfortable, his celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2020, at the outdoor covered pavilion across from Ridgedale Baptist Church on Hickory Valley Rd. from 4:00 pm - 7:30pm. Memorial service will commence around 7:00 at the same location. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to any local agency for the care and protection of animals.
