Virginia Standifer

Mrs. Virginia Alice Standifer, 96, wife of the late Bennett Standifer, passed away February 1, 2019 at the home of her daughter in Aiken, South Carolina. Born on January 13, 1923, Virginia was the daughter of the late Claude Wells and Nora Hoyler. She was a life-long resident of Chattanooga, Tennessee before moving to live with her daughter in Aiken, S.C. in 2014. Virginia was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, faithful Christian and friend. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Donna Landreth, grandson, Terry Griffith, and brother, Morgan Wells. Survivors include: her son, Jerry (Sharon) Standifer, three daughters, Geraldine (Ken) Poe, Sue (George) Gentry, and Becky Beaulieu. Her grandchildren include Tracy Horton, Corey Standifer, Kevin Landreth, Lori Duncan, Lisa Bishop, Kimberly Baynham, Keith Cannon, and Clifford Vandergriff. Virginia was a great-grandmother to eighteen and a great-great-grandmother to four. Visitation will be held from 11am-1pm with Funeral Services to follow on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at Lane Funeral Home, Ashland Terrace with Minister Charles Landreth officiating.
