Tim Engel

Timothy Engel, age 60, passed away Saturday, January 18th, 2020. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Raymond Engel; Gerald McMann and Marilla Patricia Mcmann. He was a loving father and grandfather with a wonderful sense of humor and quick wit. He worked for many years in information technology as a programmer and consultant. He loved to learn and always had a book close by. He spent his free time writing, reading, playing the guitar and listening to music. He was fiercely independent and incredibly generous, leaving a lasting impression on all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his two children Taylor Engel and Evan Engel, both of Chattanooga; brother Thomas Bottolfsen, of Minneapolis, Minnesota; and grandson Jake Engel, of Chattanooga. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
