Thomas M. Held

Thomas Michael Held, 72, of Signal Mountain, passed away February 1, 2019. He was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church on Signal Mountain.
Tom was a member of the Gloucester Township, New Jersey police force. He drove semi-trucks for several different companies for 30 years, followed by 11 years driving charter buses, which he truly enjoyed.
He loved his family and spending time with them.
He was preceded in death by his parents Robert L. and Marian M. Patterson Held; brother David Held; stepson John Axmacher; step-grandson Christopher Axmacher.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Sandra Held; daughters, Michele (Charles) Haubrich and Shelia (Donald) Colvin; son, Gregory (Maddie) Held; stepsons, Wade (Tammie) and Adam (Renee) Axmacher; grandchildren: Amanda Hearon, Johnny Hearon Jr., Amber(Jesse) Creasman., Catherine, Declan, Maeve Colvin; step-grandchildren: Kevin, Jennifer, Rhonda, Michael, Julie, and Gloria Axmacher; great-grandchildren: Joshua, Jacob, Catelynn, Breeann, L.J., Jessica, Kaleb; Step -great-grandchildren: Cameron, Takota, Emily, Eli, Eva Marie, Zachary; sister, Tina (Lou) Bontya.
A great joy to Tom later in life was helping Sandra raise her great-grand son Zachary. He felt such pride when Zachary would introduce them as his parents. Now ten years old, Zachary will greatly miss his Papa.
Visitation will be 5:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, February 8, 2019 at. A memorial Service will be at 2:30p.m. Saturday February 9 in the chapel of Lane Funeral Home with Father Charlie officiating.
