Stephen Curtis Watson

Stephen “Steve” Curtis Watson, age 74, passed away at his home on March 11, 2024. He was born on February 24, 1950 in Chattanooga, TN to the late Charles and Maxine Watson. He was of the Roman Catholic faith and would at times attend mass at the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul in Chattanooga. He devoted 43 years of his life to the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 917 in Chattanooga where he was a crane operator. He was a true animal lover and his passion for them will not be forgotten.

In addition to his parents, Steve was also preceded in death by his brother, David Watson of Middle Valley, TN.

Survivors include his children:  Jenny Watson of Red Bank, TN, Jill (Robert) Traub, of Soddy Daisy, TN, Matthew (April) Logan of Trenton, GA and Mitchell (Amanda) Logan of Apison, TN; grandchildren: Lauren Traub (Ryan) Hill, Tyler (Kayla) Traub, Jake Fien, Ally Fien, Landon Logan, Levi Logan, Kyla Logan, Kamden Sage and Henry Logan; great- grandchildren, Aiden “Coop” Fien and Zaine Traub.

In addition to his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Steve is also survived by his brother, Larry (Martha) Watson, along with several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date, with interment taking place at the Mount Garner Cemetery in Decherd, TN.
