Stephen Dewayne Cox

Stephen “Stevie” Dewayne Cox, 63, of Red Bank, died September 13, 2020. He was born June 19, 1957 and was a retired Master Mechanic and Shift Leader for the Hamilton County School Bus System after 25 years. Stevie loved working on restoring old cars and working with his hands. From a very young age, he was always tinkering with something. He was always someone you could call on to help with just about anything. He wass preceded in death by father, William Lee Cox and Grandparents Shirley and Bessie Friddell and William and Lavada Cox. He is survived by: mother, Mable “Tump” Cox of Hixson; wife, Peggy Ann Cox of Chattanooga, son, Charles Cox; sisters, Becky Potter of Chattanooga and Tammy Poole of Hixson,; brother, Jody Cox of Hixson; daughter, Nancy Baggett of Chattanooga; sons, Jerry and Charlie Baggett both of Chattanooga; grandsons, Will and Dewayne Baggett both of Chattanooga. Visitation will be held Saturday, September 19, 2020 from 11am-1pm at Lane Funeral Home with service to follow in Coulter Chapel of Lane Funeral Home officiated by Pastor Paul Massey.
