Shelby Jean Clark

Shelby Jean Clark, 83, went to be with the Lord on the morning of May 18, 2023 surrounded by her loving family. 

Shelby was born on November 10,1939 in Chattanooga.  She was raised on Signal Mountain.  Shelby loved watching NASCAR races and spending time with her family.  She was a wonderful wife and mother.  She worked as a realtor for many years. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leona and Sonny Simons; sisters, Carolyn Smith and Linda Carpenter; brothers, Jimmy Simons and Frankie “Doc” Simons. 

Survivors include her husband, “Red" Clark; daughter Stacy Clark; son, Denny Wooten; sister, Barbara Scallia; grandchildren, Kacie Wooten and Ashley Smith; two great- grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. 

The family will receive friends 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm, Saturday, May 20, 2023 at Lane Funeral Home, Ashland Terrace. 

A graveside service will be held at 10:30 am, Monday, May 22, 2023 at Chattanooga National Cemetery with Ken Chambers officiating. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salvation Army.
