Scott Neff

Mr. Richard “Scott” Neff age 57, of Red Bank, Tennessee, formerly of Signal Mountain, Tennessee, passed away Sunday May 8, 2022.

Scott was born June 19, 1964, in Chattanooga, Tennessee, to William M. “Bill” and June W. Neff. He graduated from Red Bank High School in 1983.  Scott was a former member of The Signal Mountain Presbyterian Church.  He was an avid bass fisherman, and enjoyed restoring classic cars, trucks, and motorcycles.  Scott was the owner of Signal Heating and Air.  He shared his faith in Christ with everyone he met, and was a counselor to many.

He was preceded in death his brother Marvin Lindsay Neff.

In addition to his parents he is also survived by his wife Nancy Robertson Neff. Stepson Phillip Gryder, stepdaughter Reithal Gryder.  Uncle John Neff (Carol), Aunt Patty Neff Roth (Bill) Nephew John Taylor Neff, great nephew James Elliot Neff. Cousins; Debbie Wilson (Jowell Thome), David Wilson, Jr. (Elizabeth).

A memorial service will be held Saturday May 21, 2022, at 2:00 PM at the Signal Mountain Presbyterian Church Marr Chapel.  The family will receive friends following the service.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to The Signal Mountain Presbyterian Church 612 James Blvd., Signal Mountain, TN  37377, in Scott’s memory.
