Sarah L. Camp, 87, of Chattanooga, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, October 18, 2020. Sarah Ellen was born in St. Elmo in October, 1933. She was the daughter of Joe and Sarah (Stewart) Lyle and raised in Hamilton County graduating with honors from City High School in 1951. She married Kenneth L. Camp (with the Lord, July 5, 2011) and they started their family in Eastdale before moving to Hixson. Sarah was very involved with Ken and several core families in founding the Hixson Presbyterian Church (PCA) before they answered the call to vocational ministry and moved to Jackson, MS for seminary at Reformed Theological. Rev. Ken and Mrs. Sarah served honorably at the historic Hickory Withe Presbyterian Church, east of Memphis, before returning for a position for Ken at First Presbyterian Chattanooga as Minister of Visitation and Senior Adults. Sarah is survived by children, Sandy of Chattanooga, Andrew of Chattanooga, and Dan (Sherry) of Avon, IN. She is the grandmother of Lainey, Lindsey, Lorey, Daniel, Lyle, and Kayla. She is the “Great Grams” of Andrew’s Brennen, Allie and Charlee-Ann, and Dan and Sherry’s Joe, Ellee, Jonathan, Jakob, Georgia, Noah, Jaybo, Samson, Grey, Brennan, Haddie, Lukas, and shortly, Shiloh. Sarah is the dear sister of the late Joe (Betty) Lyle, Jr, and Marjorie L. Lyle. She is the sister-in-law of Judy Camp (Ray) Lewis. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family and many close friends, who are cordially invited to the visitation at Lane Funeral Home October 22, 2020, from 6-8pm and funeral service at First Presbyterian Church, 554 McCallie Ave. Friday, October 23, 2020 at 2pm.
