Samuel Nelson Davis

Samuel “Sam” Nelson Davis, 74, of Graysville, TN, passed away Thursday, April 11, 2024.  He served in the US Army and received a National Defense Service Medal and Vietnam Service Medal.  Sam was a truck driver, asphalt man and mechanic.  He loved old cars and trucks.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Willene Davis; sister, Mary Anita Davis; and brother, Bill Davis.

Survivors include his wife of 52 ½ years; son, Timothy Davis; grandsons, Drew Davis (Melissa) and Harley Davis; three great-grandchildren:  Olivia Davis, Jackson Davis and Danielle Davis; brother, David Davis (Brenda); sister, Elizabeth Sewell (Gary); sister-in-law, Linda Davis; and several nieces and nephews.

Special thanks to Hearth Hospice, Katy Sullivan, Amy Denton, Marv Eskew and Ron Mahlo for their wonderful care in taking care of our loved one.

Visitation is 1:00 – 7:00 pm Monday at Lane Funeral Home, Ashland Terrace. Funeral Service will be 12:00 pm Tuesday in the Coulter Chapel of Lane Funeral Home with Chaplain Marvin Eskew officiating.  Honorary pallbearers are Marvin Eskew, Ron Mahlo, Amy Denton, Katy Sullivan, David Woody and Brad Monk.
