Richard Slaten Sr

Richard Alan Slaten, age 70, passed away August 10, 2019 at home in Richland , WA. He was a 1967 graduate of Red Bank High School. He had worked as a  Nuclear Quality Control Engineer for over 40 years, traveling the USA extensively. Richard loved his family. He was generous and gave selflessly. He enjoyed exploring new cities and took great pleasure in hosting guests and sharing those new places and experiences. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Wiley and Mary Louise Slaten. He is survived by his son, Richard Slaten II, sister Mary Ann (Larry) Rooks, brothers John Slaten, Robert (Betty) Slaten and Scott (Peggy) Slaten, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, a host of friends and work associates. Visitation will be held Saturday at Lane Funeral Home January 11, 2020 from 1pm-3pm with Memorial Service to follow at 3pm. Interment to be at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
