Reverend David Burkhart

Reverend David Glenn Burkhart, Sr.  age 72, of Chattanooga, Tennessee went to heaven to meet Jesus his Lord and savior on December 30, 2022.

David was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee on December 2, 1950, to the late Walter Franklin Burkhart, and Evelyn Rice Burkhart. He attended East Ridge High School, and Tennessee Temple Seminary.  David pastored Walden’s Ridge Baptist Church, Cowin Road Baptist Church, and recently retired from White Oak Baptist Church as associate pastor/ pastoral care after more than 10 years of service.

In addition to his parents David was preceded in death by his son Christopher Daniel Burkhart, and a brother Robert Franklin Burkhart.

Surviving are his devoted wife of 49 years Linda Mayer Burkhart. Son David Burkhart II (Alicia).Grandsons; Jaden Marshall, and Liam Marshall. Granddaughter Harper Grace Burkhart.

A Celebration of Life service for David will be held Tuesday January 3, 2023, at 12:00 P.M. at the White Oak Baptist Church with Dr. Tony Wilson officiating.   Interment will follow at 3:00 P.M. E.S.T. at the Loveless Cemetery in Fort Payne, Alabama. 

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 10:00A.M. until the hour of the service at the White Oak Baptist Church.
