Tribute
Roy Edward Workman passed away on July 23, 2019 at the age of 73 after a long battle with cancer. He was of the Baptist faith.
Roy served in the Army of the United States for six years and was a Vietnam veteran. After
being honorably discharged from the Army, having achieved the rank of Sergeant, Roy served in the Army National Guard of Tennessee for several years. Roy loved his country and the American flag, animals, playing golf, playing guitar, and all things FOX news.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Wanda Hollis Workman, a son, Michael Jason Workman,
one brother, Ronnie Workman, as well as many extended family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Ruth Henderson Workman and Burrell Eugene
Workman, two sisters, Doris June Bain and Martha Wilmon, and three brothers, Richard Lamar
Workman, Jody Neal, and Kenneth Neal.
Funeral services will be held Monday, July 29, 2019 at 11:30 AM in the chapel of Lane Funeral Home. Burial will follow with full military honors at 1:00 PM in the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Sunday, July 28, 2019 from 5-8 PM at the funeral home.
