Patricia B. Rotroff Martin, 81, passed away December 26, 2017 in Currituck, NC. She was born in Chattanooga, TN February 2, 1936, resided there for 70 years. Mrs. Martin was a former Delta Flight Stewardess and Homemaker. She was a member of Chi Omega Sorority at UTC, Cotton Ball Debutante, a member of Primitive Baptist Church and Minister’s wife, Gardening Club, Bridge Clubs, working Republican Voting Polls and extensive traveling.
She loved her home and gardening and was a gourmet cook that loved to give parties. Patricia edited and published a religious book and traveling to 48 of 50 states was a passion. She loved interior design and fashion and her dogs over the years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, David H. Rotroff and Genevieve Hill Rotroff; sister, Jean Tillman; first husband, J.O. (Bud) McMichael, USAF flight test pilot ; second husband, James R. Martin.
Survivors include her daughter, Kelly A. McMichael – Martin Arp, and husband Paul B. Arp, of Currituck, NC; grandson, Zachary B. Arp, of Wilmington, NC.
A small memorial service is to be held at a later date at Chattanooga National Cemetery with her late husband, James R. Martin. Please contact Lane Funeral Home on Ashland Terrace for the date and time of the memorial service. Please don’t send flowers as National Cemetery will not accept.
