Michael Bryan Wells

Michael Bryan Wells, born February 9, 1960, passed away at home on March 20, 2022, he was of Catholic faith. He was a graduate of Notre Dame High, class of 1978. Michael was a volunteer at the Tennessee Aquarium and Tennessee River clean up for 18 years. He loved the outdoors and had respect for the community and environment. He always had a smile and a joke for anyone he met. Michael was a beloved father, son, brother and friend. He had a love for sports of any kind and was a big Bama fan. He was always there for anyone who needed him with a smile (even moving). He is so loved by all who knew him, that is how wonderful a man he was. His heart was big enough for everyone. Michael was preceded in death by his father, Frank R. Wells; grandparents, Cecile and Carl Shannon, and Bert and Rena Wells; uncle, Robert Mountjoy (Uncle Bob); and nephew, Michael Richard Shannon (Rik). His survivors include his mother, Dorothy Joyce Wells; Sons, Michael Rettick Wells and Colston McGee; sister, Irena (Tootsie) Fox; brother, Frank (Sandra) Wells; uncles, Larry and Morie Shannon; nieces: Shannon Wells, Cassie Bentley, and Kelly Howell; and several cousins and family members. The family would like to thank Father Charlie Burton and his St. Jude family for all the love and support you have given Mike and his family. Also to all of his close friends who have been his support. Visitation will be held Friday, March 25, 2022 from 11am to 12:30pm at St. Jude Catholic Church on Ashland Terrace. Funeral Mass will be held Friday, March 25, 2022 at 12:30pm at St. Jude Catholic Church with interment to follow at 2pm at Chattanooga Memorial Park.
