Melba June Petty

Melba June Petty, 87, of Chattanooga, passed away Sunday, September 17, 2023. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Soddy-Daisy. She enjoyed playing piano and singing and loved the Lord.  Also, she enjoyed collecting dolls and was a great neighbor.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Petty; parents, Fred and Emma Standifer; sister, Phyllis Graham; and brother, Pete Standifer.

Survivors include her daughters, Melba Alexander (Fred) and Fran McInelley (Don); sons: David Lamar Lofty (Evelyn), Charlie Lofty (Terri) and Ron Lofty (Sharon); 15 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and brother David Standifer (Peggy).

Visitation is 5:00-8:00 pm Tuesday and 1:00-2:00 pm Wednesday at Lane Funeral Home, Ashland Terrace.  Funeral services are 2:00 pm Wednesday in the Coulter Chapel of Lane Funeral Home with Reverend Don Kelley officiating.  Interment will follow in Chattanooga Memorial Park.
