May 19, 1935 ~ November 10, 2020 (age 85) 85 Years Old

Tribute

Our sweet Mary Goins Campbell (affectionately known as Rose), 85, of Red Bank, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on November 10, 2020. Originally born in Pikeville, TN, Rose later moved to Chattanooga, married the love of her life, and together, they built a beautiful family that adored her. She was a faithful member of Red Bank United Methodist Church (and the Shaw-Murray Sunday School Class) and devoted her career to DuPont, making life-long friendships at both church and work. Rose was truly a devoted woman and was the matriarch of the Campbell family. After a 35+ year career at Dupont, Rose retired to do more of what she really loved, spending time with loved ones and traveling. Rose and her husband traveled all over the United States, spent their summers at Lake Tansi, where so many family memories were made, and their winter months in Florida, as sunny weather was always where Rose was happiest. Rose also had a passion for bowling and all sports in general. She was a loyal teammate of the “Toss Ups” local bowling team and played up until a few months before her passing. She also loved watching all sports, but specifically the Vols and Braves, no matter how mad they made her. She truly lived her life to the fullest. Rose was preceded in death by her mother, Zena James, brother, Ron Goins, and sister-in-laws, Kay Webb and Bette Harrell. She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Ed Campbell, son, Mark (Danna) Campbell, brother, Glen Goins, sister-in-law Teresa Goins, 4 grandchildren, Jessica (Mark) Ramsey, Drew Campbell, Kelly (Bradley) Johnson and Ashton Mason, along with two great-grandchildren and several nieces and extended family. Visitation will be from 1-3 PM and 5-7 PM Friday November 13, 2020. Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Saturday November 14, 2020 in the Coulter Chapel of Lane Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Red Bank Food Pantry, which is sponsored by Red Bank United Methodist church. In addition, the family would like to thank the Mountain View team at Hospice of Chattanooga for their support throughout the last week. The family also wants to thank Janet Tanner for her caregiving commitment to Rose in her final hours.
