Tribute

Martha Jane Kennette McCarter, 97, passed away Sunday March 27 at home surrounded by family and dear friend Pat Borden.

Martha was born and raised in Graysville, Tennessee, was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga area and oldest member of One Accord Baptist Church, Red Bank.

She was preceded in death by her loving, devoted husband of 56 years, Roy McCarter; parents, Sherman and Annie Kennett; and brother, Raymond Kennett.

Children: Donnie McCarter (Judy)-Hixson, Gary McCarter-Chattanooga, Randy McCarter- Chattanooga, Linda Robinson (Mike) Huntsville, AL, Phyllis Henegar-Chattanooga, Teresa Keown-Rossville, Gary McCarter, Jr.-Chattanooga; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and great-great-great-grandchildren.

A special thanks to Leona White for her compassionate care and friendship, and Hearth Hospice
God bless daughter, Teresa Keown, for putting her life on hold for several years to care for her mother full time.

Visitation will be Tuesday, March 29, 2022 from 6-8PM at Lane Funeral Home, and Wednesday March 30, 2022 from 11-12PM, with a service to follow at 12 noon in the Coulter Chapel of Lane Funeral Home, with Pastors Ray Williams and Don Ferguson officiating. Interment will follow at Chattanooga Memorial Park.

Pallbearers- grandchildren, Michael McCarter, Zach McCarter, Brian Robinson, Joseph (Bo) McCarter, Donald Gary McCarter, and Cory Blewett.
