Marilyn Sue Tucker, 93, of Chattanooga, passed away at Atria at Weston Place in Knoxville, May 16, 2020. She was born in Chattanooga and attended Central High School. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Lee Tucker; son, William Kevin Tucker; mother, Billie Hickey Dunn Short; father, Nolan Dunn; step-mother, Pearl Dunn; sister, La Verne Dunn Phillips; and brother, Arthur Alton Short. Survivors include her daughter, Sheryl Tucker Daugherty Ginsburg; grandsons, Chad Daugherty and Michael Ginsburg; daughter, Norma Tucker Rogers and husband Stewart Rogers; grandchildren; Allison Rogers Leppard and Christy Rogers White; great-grandchildren: Heather Morgan Galloway, Zack White, Samantha White, Brooke Leppard and Austin Leppard; great-great grandchildren: Blake and Landon Galloway. Sue was born into a large family and still has cousins and nieces who have survived her living in the Chattanooga area. Sue was a volunteer for the Red Cross and worked at Memorial North Park Hospital for many years. She also was a member of the Republican Women’s Club and worked for several Republican elections, both local and national. She attended Highland Park Baptist Church for 50 plus years until she could no longer drive and then began attending Lupton Drive Baptist Church, close to home. Sue moved to Knoxville to be closer to her daughter and lived at Autumn Care for several years before moving to Atria at Weston Place in 2020. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 19, 2020 at Lane Funeral Home from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Funeral Service will be Wednesday, May 20, 2020 at 11:00 am in the Coulter Chapel of Lane Funeral Home With interment to follow at Forrest Hills Cemetery.
