Louis Andrew Emper

Louis Andrew Emper, 82, of Soddy Daisy, passed away Wednesday, January 25, 2023.  Lou was an avid hunter and loved hiking.  He shared his love of the great outdoors with enthusiasm and took time to teach his kids and grandkids by including them in his adventures.  He was a bigfoot enthusiast.  Also, he loved spending time with his “little woman” Barbara and loved living in New Jersey and Montana. Being known as Grandpa and Popster, he will be remembered as having humor like no other and was always trying to help lift other’s spirits.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara; son-in-law, Tom Perry; mom, Dorothy Clarke; step-father, Frederick Clarke; brother-in-law and friend, Robert Wentzell.

Survivors include his daughter, Bernice Ann Perry; son, Chris Andrew (Kim) Emper; sister, Ruth Flanagan; grandchildren: Heather Emper, Bethany Emper, Jennifer (Mike) Newberg and Shane (Hannah) Perry; great-grandchildren: Grace Newberg, Nehemiah Perry and Mary Catherine Perry; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
