Lois Anne Lawler passed away on Friday, April 22, 2022 at the age of 89. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Jack D. Lawler; a daughter, Shari Lynn; and her parents, Karleton and Armyn Crain. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, often known as the “laughing Grandma”. She was born and raised in West Lafayette, Indiana and attended a semester at Purdue University, studying interior design, until she met the love of her life, Jack. She was a homemaker and always was there for her kids as a scout leader or bowling coach or cheerleader. She loved to bowl, golf, and play bridge or any card game. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi sorority. Lois loved to travel with Jack in their RV and see the USA, but also was able to travel to Ireland, England, Spain, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and Mexico. She was a member of Red Bank United Methodist Church locally. She leaves behind her family, a son, Stephen Craig Lawler (Barb); daughters: Sharon Kim Huston (Russ), Sandra Dawn Johnson (Art) and Stacy Kay Durham; grandsons, Joshua Lawler (Amanda), Chris Lawler (Diedre) and Ryan Durham; granddaughters: Heather Huston, Erica Kanagy (Tom), Alea Boatwright (Tim), Rachael Knopp, and Emily Durham; and great-grandchildren: Addison Williams, Tripp Lesch, Tenley Knopp, Sloan Lawler, Skylar Knopp, and Rowan Jack Lawler. She will be buried in the National Cemetery in Chattanooga, Tennessee beside her husband. Visitation will be held from 1-2:30pm on Sunday, May 22, 2022 with a memorial service to follow at 2:30pm at Red Bank United Methodist Church. Graveside service will be held on Monday, May 23, 2022 at 11:00am at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
