Linda Louise Willmann

Linda Louise (Luce) Willmann, 62, was welcomed into the kingdom of Heaven on April 24, 2021. Linda was born August 24, 1958, in Flint, MI to Lawrence and Laura (Cooley) Luce. She spent her childhood in Warren, MI with her brother, Lance, and took an interest in lapidary. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree from Mercy College of Detroit in 1979. She began working at Rockwell in Troy, MI, where she met the love of her life, Mark Robert Willmann. They were married on September 5, 1981. They had 2 sons, Justin and Benjamin, and enjoyed traveling the country and camping with them. Linda dedicated her life to raising her sons and continued caring for children at her church. She worked at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Walled Lake, MI for many years. Linda and Mark moved to Signal Mountain, TN in 2012 where they could enjoy more outdoor activities together. After Mark’s passing in 2014, Linda worked as a preschool teacher at Signal Mountain Presbyterian Church for the past 5 years. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness to everyone and a nurturing spirit that has inspired many. Linda is survived by her children, Justin (Jennifer) and Ben, her brother, Lance (Nancy) Luce, and fiancé, Steve Krohner. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Mark, and her parents, Lawrence and Laura. Her life will be celebrated at a memorial service held at Signal Mountain Presbyterian Church on April 28, 2021 at 2:30pm, and in Michigan at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please donate in Linda’s name to Hospice of Chattanooga, who provided wonderful care in the final days of her short battle with melanoma.
