Linda Chapman, 73, passed away in her Flintstone home on May 23, 2022.
She was born in Upper Darby, PA and lived many years in New Jersey before moving to Georgia. New Jersey is where she met her husband of 56 years, Elwood Chapman. Their love and devotion only grew over the years. They were known for still holding hands, dancing, and fierce Words with Friends games.
Many in the community recognized her as the little pharmacy lady at the old Bi-Lo on Battlefield Parkway. She cared deeply for all of her customers.
She is survived by her husband, Elwood; children Lisa and Jill; and grandson Tyler. She was proud of all of them and would brag to everyone. She always made sure to call her daughters and grandson every night to catch up and make sure that they made it home safely. She was preceded in death by her father Clair Rudolph, mother Geraldine (Walden), and brother Butch.
Visitation is 5 to 7 pm on Sunday, May 29 at Lane Funeral Home Ashland Terrace and Funeral Services at noon on Monday, May 30, in the Coulter Chapel, with interment to follow at Chattanooga Memorial Park.
Arrangements entrusted to Lane Funeral Home, 601 Ashland Terrace, Chattanooga TN 37415 www.lanefh.com 423-877-3524.
