Kenneth Woods

KENNETH MAYNARD WOODS died peacefully in the hospital on November 17, 2018 in Chattanooga, Tennessee at the age of 81. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Margaret Woods; children, Jan (Pete) Massengale and Bart (Ann) Woods; three grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and multiple siblings. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ethel Roberts Woods; father, William Woods; three siblings, and one child.

Kenneth Woods was born on April 25, 1937 in Decatur, Tennessee. He graduated from Meigs County High School in 1956. He proudly served in the United States Airforce and retired from the United States Post Office after many years of service. His children remember him as a kind, happy, and encouraging father. He was a devout Christian and a jack of all trades. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, and discussing politics.

A funeral is scheduled for Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at Lane Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 12 pm until ceremony at 2:00 pm, followed by a graveside service in Hamilton Memorial Gardens. Pastor William Gamble will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Kenneth’s life.
