She was born July 15, 1944 in Augusta, GA and graduated from Richmond Academy. She then graduated from the University of Georgia and began her teaching career, which lasted 46 years. She was teaching in Augusta, GA when she met her future husband, who was stationed at Ft. Gordon, Ga. She loved the Lord and wanted to serve Him. She taught Sunday school and she and Stacy were the high school group youth leader for Lithonia Presbyterian Church. She became an elder of Lithonia Presbyterian Church and later a Deacon at Signal Mountain Presbyterian Church. She loved her children and grandchildren.
