John K. Newton

John Kenneth Newton, age 73, of Sale Creek, Tennessee, went home to be with the Lord on August 11, 2022. He will be sorely missed by his loving family. John whom his family affectionately called "Big John", will be remember for his wonderful sense of humor, along with his dedication to his family. A beloved husband, father, and grandfather who was a devoted animal lover, whose joy and laughter enriched all who knew him.

He was born to Charles Newton and Norma Jean Barnett of Johnson City, Tennessee on October 5, 1948. John had worked as a truck driver and Forman for the Labor Union 846 in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his father Charles Newton and mother Norma Jean Newton. He is survived by his beloved wife Belinda "Linda" Newton of Sale Creek, Tennessee; three sons Charles Newton of Grandview, Tennessee, Keith Newton of Crossville, Tennessee and Robert Newton of Cleveland, Tennessee; seven grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren.
