John Robert "Bob" McClure Jr.

John Robert “Bob” McClure Jr., 70, of Signal Mountain, passed away Tuesday, September 12, 2023. He received his Associates Degree in Math from Cleveland State and his Hazmat at Chattanooga State.  Bob was an active member of Brainerd Baptist Church where he also was a camera man.  He loved all kinds of music and enjoyed singing.  Also, he enjoyed hiking. He loved watching football and was an avid fan of the Texas Long Horns.  Bob was a humble man and was gentle with people.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mary McClure.

Survivors include his wife, Susan S. McClure; daughters, Joya McClure Moss and Chanda “Sunnie” Lyle (Michael); son, Josh Robert McClure (Christy); grandchildren: Ryan, Cristian, and Caleb McClure, Colin & Hayley Lyle, Philip, Jamison, Nola Lily Rose Moss; sisters: Nita Crews, Marsha Giles (Dan) and Sally Gray. His step-children and his step-grandchildren called him “GrandBob”.

A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, September 16, 2023, at the Brainerd Crossroads (BX) at 11:30 A.M.

The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10:30 A.M. until 11:30 A.M. at the Loft at the BX.
