John Lorenzo Fernandez Jr

John Lorenzo Fernandez, 66, passed away in his home on Sunday, July 5th. Growing up in New York he had a difficult childhood, but through the grace and strength of God came to a place of forgiveness and healing. Although he has no known living blood relatives, he is survived by his church family who loved him very much. John had been a faithful member of The Gathering since moving to Chattanooga in 2011. He spent most of his free time with his church friends and caring for his many cats. John was a man of deep conviction and had a contagious faith in Jesus Christ. He fought his many health issues with perseverance and grace.
