Jerry Ray Wilkey, 73, passed away peacefully in his sleep and to be with the Lord on October 1, 2020 at his home in Red Bank, TN. Jerry was born October 9, 1946 to John Robert “Jake” Wilkey & Louise Wilkey-Shriver in Chattanooga, TN. He was a graduate of Red Bank High School and was a US Army Military Policeman from 1966-1967 during the Vietnam Campaign stationed in Thailand. Jerry had a career as a professional photographer for most of his life. When he wasn’t behind the camera, you could find him on the river fishing, which he very much enjoyed. Jerry was also an avid musician, and never missed an opportunity to sing and play his guitar. More than anything, Jerry loved to laugh and loved to make others laugh even more. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, his nephew, John Wilkey and sister-in-law Janice Wilkey. Jerry leaves behind his sister, Joni Lou Adams, brothers, Robert Wilkey, Carl Wilkey and Bill Wilkey, step-mother, Juanita Wilkey, God-daughter Casey Hansen and numerous nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation will be Sunday October 4, 2020 from 4pm-6pm at Lane Funeral Home. Visitation Monday, October 5, 2020 at 11am Funeral Service to follow at 11:30am in the Coulter Chapel of Lane Funeral Home with Rev. Carl Dean Wilkey officiating.
