JEFFREY R. POWELL, 64, of Chattanooga, TN died Sunday, October 20, 2019. Jeffrey worked with the Chattanooga Freepress in the news department covering political events. He also worked at Belk Department Store as a Polo specialist in the Men’s department.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jeff Powell and Katherine Gibbs Powell.
He is survived by his wife, Deborah Powell; one son, Nick (Molly) Powell; three grandchildren: Audry and Ethan Powell and Drew Watson. one step-daughter, Stephanie Watson; and other extended family.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 26, 2019 at 2:00 pm in the Lane Funeral Home Chapel.
A visitation will be held Saturday, October 26, 2019 at the funeral home from 1:00 pm until time of service at 2:00 pm.
Arrangements are entrusted to Lane Funeral Home, 601 Ashland Terrace, Chattanooga, TN 37415.
