James “Jim” Stansberry, age 73, passed away on January 19, 2018. Formerly of Knoxville, Jim was a long-time building supplies sales manager in the Atlanta area before retiring in Chattanooga. He proudly served his country in the Air National Guard and received his bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. He had a very strong Christian faith, was an avid golfer, loved boating and was a fanatic Vols fan. Jim was a member of Black Creek Country Club, Keowee Country Club in South Carolina, and the Atlanta Athletic Club.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Helen Stansberry, and his brother, Richard Stansberry.
Those left to cherish memory include his daughter, Chamberlain Stansberry; son, Greg Stansberry (Claire); grandchildren, Shea Stansberry and Kyle Dillingham; and his dear friend, Pat Crutchfield.
In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Chattanooga Area Food Bank or
the charity of your choice.
The family will receive friends Noon - 2pm Wednesday January 24, 2018 with a
Memorial Service to follow at 2pm in the Chapel of Lane Funeral Home on
Ashland Terrace.
