Helen Brown Porter, passed away December 10, 2017 at her home. She was 91 years old. Although she had been in bad health for years, she always had a smile on her face. She was one of the nicest, unselfish people you could know. She always liked to help people when she could. She was of the Baptist faith. She will be sadly missed.
Helen graduated from Spring City High School in 1945 and later she met and married Milton Porter. They had two sons, Mitchell and Stanley Porter; one daughter, Sheree Rousseau; two grandsons, Craig Porter and Jonathan Rousseau; two granddaughters, Stephanie Broe and Taylor Rousseau; three great-granddaughters: Brianna Dass, Sienna Broe and Isabella Rousseau; one great-grandson, Zander Broe.
Preceding her in death was her husband of 62 years, Milton Porter; her parents, Floyd and Linnie Brown; five sisters: Mary Lee, Edna, Beulah, Ruth and Pauline; three brothers: Howard, Lindsay and Robert.
Funeral Services will be Friday at 1:00pm at Lane Funeral Home, Rev. Amy Nutt will officiate. Visitation will be 4:00pm-6:00pm Thursday and one hour prior to the service on Friday. She will be buried in the National Cemetery with her husband, Milton.
