Hazem Fayez Kaddoura, 63, passed away after a short illness February 5, 2021.
He was born in Doha, Qatar to Fayez and Nimat Kaddoura. Hazem came to the United States in 1975 and attended Tennessee Technological University on engineering and soccer scholarships. In 1987, Hazem married the love of his life and soon became the proud father to two beautiful children. A lifelong love of soccer, Hazem was a much-loved Coach for his children's teams. He touched many lives through his loving and mentoring spirit. Hazem’s life was changed by AA. He became passionate about their mission, even becoming a sponsor himself. For the last 2 years, Hazem’s life was further enriched by being a Chef at the Baylor School, where he was beloved by faculty and students alike. Preceded in death by father, Fayez Kaddoura and brother Mohammed Kaddoura. Survivors include: wife, Tammy Lakin Kaddoura; children, Zach and wife Bonnie (who is expecting their first child, Charlie Rooh), Laila (Josh) Kaddoura all of Chattanooga; loving mother and father in-law, Pat and Jim Lakin of Mt. Juliet; mother, Nimat Kaddoura of Chattanooga; sister, Hind Kaddoura of Beirut, Lebanon; brother, Zafer Kaddoura of Doha, Qatar, brother, Bashar Kaddoura of Chattanooga, sisters in-law, Lisa (Dan) Slipkovich of Nashville TN. Missy (Mike) Maclennan of Lebanon,TN. Bobbi (Mike) Brown of Smyrna TN, Scott (Allison) Lakin of Lavergne TN, nieces, Bailey (Tristan) Webb, Grace Maclennan, Jenny and Abby Brown, Lena Kaddoura, Samaya Al-Hariri, Allia (Thomas) Dillard, nephews, Sam and Jake Slipkovich, Cody and Jeb Maclennan, Ahmed Al-Hariri, Fayez and Mohammed Kaddoura as well as oodles and oodles of friends. The family will have a visitation Monday, February 8, 2021 at Lane Funeral Home from 3:00-4:00 with a memorial service immediately following in the Coulter Chapel of Lane Funeral Home.
