Gloria Rita Mazzei Snell, 90, of Chattanooga, Tn., died on Monday, Sept. 20, 2021.
She was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother. Gloria was born in Kenosha, WI., on March 22, 1931 to Michael and Angeline Mazzei. She graduated from Kenosha High School and University of Wisconsin. Gloria married Herbert Eugene Snell of Yale, Oklahoma on June 23, 1956. They were married 54 years until his death on Jan. 3, 2010. At the beginning of her marriage, Gloria worked as a school teacher. In 1986, Gloria and Herbert moved from Brookfield, WI to Spring City, Tn. She loved spending time with her family and spoiling her grandchildren, as well as attending musicals and plays. Gloria also enjoyed golfing.
Gloria was preceded in death by her parents, Michael and Angeline Mazzei; three brothers and three sisters.
Survivors include her son, David Snell; daughter, Leslie Snell of Hixson, Tn; and four grandchildren, Dwayne, Shane, Lana and Zaylee.
A memorial service will be conducted at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Soddy Daisy, Tn. on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at 11:00am.
