Gertrude V. Ogle

Gertrude Virginia Sharp Ogle, 87, of Red Bank, passed away peacefully Saturday, September 12, 2020. Gertrude was born July 5th, 1933 to William Henry and Clara Mae (Hudson) Sharp in Plevna, Alabama. She was a long time resident of Red Bank and moved to be with her daughter in Spring City after medical complications in 2004. Gertrude worked as a cook and cooked primarily for the Country Place Restaurant, Hamilton County School System, and Provident Life in Chattanooga. She also hosted many dinners for the Red Bank Lions Club. She enjoyed making others happy with her food. Gertrude was always close to Jesus and ready to go home anytime he called. She was preceded in death by husband, Earl Ogle in 1990 and thirteen of her brothers and sisters. Survivors include brother, Joe Sharp, sister, Louise (Euell) Barnes, daughter, Janet (Ted) Ellis, son, Jerry Ogle, grandson, David Ellis, and granddaughter, Sharon Webb three great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at Lane Funeral Home Tuesday, September 15, 202 from 2-3pm with graveside service to follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
