Gary Riggs

Gary Duane Riggs, 74, passed away on February 2, 2020, at his home in Tennessee. He was born August 3, 1945, in Battle Creek, MI to Wayne L. and Georgia D. (Burchard) Riggs. He was a graduate of Hixson High School and later obtained a Bachelor of Science Summa Cum Laude from the University of Chattanooga. He joined the USMC in 1966, and received an Honorable Discharge in 1972, with the rank of Corporal. An avid photographer, he owned Photographic Concepts, Inc. until he retired. He loved the outdoors and lived in the Western United States for 15 years, residing in Boise and Sun Valley, ID, as well as Lake Oswego, OR.

He is survived by his sister, Kimberly (Mark) St.John; daughter, Heather Hutcheson; granddaughter, Shyla Hutcheson; and daughter, Holly Hutcheson; niece, Paulette (Kevyn) Hollowell and great-niece, Peyton Guinn; Paige Holcomb and great-niece and great-nephew Lillie and Parker Holcomb; and niece, Betsy St.John.
