Floyd N. Dillon

September 27, 1923 ~ July 29, 2020 (age 96) 96 Years Old

Tribute

Floyd “Matt” Neldon Dillon was called home by the Lord on July 29, 2020. He was the son of the late Henry Floyd and Viola May (Lewis) Dillon and Viola Mae Lewis. Floyd married Nona Fern Troxell Feb 24, 1944. Fern (as she was known) preceded Floyd in death on Aug 13, 2010. He is survived by their only son, John B. (Judy) Dillon of Newport Oregon, along with nieces and nephews in the Pacific Northwest, and many friends in the Chattanooga area. He was a member of the Red Bank Church of Christ and served in WWII as a corporal in the US Army in Czechoslovakia. He was a business forms designer and salesman for Moore Business Forms in Chattanooga until his retirement in 1988. Floyd was a 50+ year member of the Knights of Pythias fraternal order and served as Grand Chancellor of Tennessee as well as Deputy Supreme Commander. A private Committal will be held in Chattanooga National Cemetery. A private Committal was held in Chattanooga National Cemetery due to Covid-19. Now that restrictions are lifted, we will celebrate his life Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at 11am in the Coulter Chapel of Lane Funeral Home.  .
