Ethel Sharber

Ethel G. “Dodie” Sharber, 89, passed away Monday, April 2, 2018. She was born in Summerville, TN and has been a resident of Chattanooga for 36 years. Dodie retired from J. C. Penny and enjoyed gardening and was an excellent cook. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister and aunt and had such a giving, forgiving and generous soul.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Pike Edward Sharber.

Survivors include her daughters, Brenda Ann Neighbors (Gary) of Chattanooga and Alma J. Crook (Jim) of Dallas, TX; granddaughters, Dia Neighbors and Cara Neighbors, both of Chattanooga; nine nieces and nephews of West Tennessee.

Graveside services will be 12:30 pm Thursday in Hamilton Memorial Gardens. Contributions to Reflection Riding Arboretum and Nature Center. Visitation is 10:00-12:00 Thursday at Lane Funeral Home, Chattanooga, TN, 877-3524, www.lanefh.com.
