Estelle Brown, a long-time resident of the Athens, Georgia area, died Saturday the 4th of May at the Alexian Brothers Valley Residence in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
Estelle was born on May 8, 1929 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Edward and Sally Bonczek. She married Allen Davidson Brown and they raised two sons, Lloyd and Edward.
Estelle devoted her life to having a good time. She loved hosting parties, cooking, dancing, dogs, and had a smile that could light up a room. She was known as “Ma Brown” in Savannah, Georgia and the “Duchess of Wilkes County.” Her family meant everything to her.
Estelle is survived by her two sons, Lloyd (Renee) and Edward, her grandchildren, Nick, Andrew, Eric (Katie) and Rachel (Shayn), her five great-grandchildren, Ella, Owen, Emersyn, Kalynn, and Ari, and her great-great-grandchild, Lila.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, May 11, 2019 at 2pm in the Sharon Methodist Church cemetery.
