Ernest Lee Booker

Ernest Lee Booker, Jr., 76, passed away Friday, May 22nd, 2020.  He was born and raised in Huntsville Alabama and graduated from Auburn University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering.  He was a proud veteran of the US Navy having served on the USS Muliphen then retired from the TVA and taught as an adjunct instructor at Chattanooga State for 20 years.  He leaves behind his beloved wife of 22 years, Dee Booker, sister, Carolyn (Bill) Burks, daughters, LaRunda (Bart) Jordan, Janessa Booker, two sons and six grandchildren.  Preceded in death by parents, Ernest Lee Booker Sr. and Lillie Mae Carpenter.  He was an avid gardener, woodworker and absolutely loved teaching, imparting the importance of education.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Lane Funeral Home, 601 Ashland Terrace, Chattanooga, TN. 37415 (423) 877-3524. Lanefh.com
