Emma Milligan
After 93 wonderful years on this earth, Emma Lindner Milligan has finally gone home to Heaven to join her loving husband Charles U. Milligan. Emma was born in Reliance, TN, the daughter of John Henry and Lizzie Lindner and sister to nine brothers and sisters. After a number of years in Reliance, her family moved to Lenoir City where Emma spent most of her youth.
In 1951, Emma and her husband, Charles, moved to Chattanooga with daughters, Ann and Lizzie Lou. They were fortunate enough to choose to live in Red Bank. There, Emma found a church and the Friendship Sunday School Class that she and her family loved. She was a member of White Oak United Methodist Church. For many years, Emma enjoyed serving on the Kitchen Committee in service of others.
Emma is survived by her daughters, Ann (Allan) Bailey and Liz (John) Johnson. Emma was so loved by her grandchildren, Cindy (Timothy) Dwyer, Jay (Melanie) Bailey, JoAnna (Brian) Crooks, Jennifer Williams and Julie (Bobby) Hutcherson and 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
