Elma June Henry

Elma June “E.J.” Henry, 90, of Hixson, Tennessee passed away on November 19, 2018. E.J. was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on June 29, 1928, and had lived in Chattanooga since 1968. She was married to Russ Henry for 63 years, was a graduate of UT Chattanooga and was a sixth grade educator for 25 years with Chattanooga City Schools. E.J. was a long-time member of Red Band Cumberland Presbyterian Church where she served as both a deacon and elder. She was a member of the Chickamagua Region Antique Car Club of America.
Survivors include her sons, Steve (Jeannie) Henry of Soddy Daisy and Dr. Tim (Terri) Henry of Dayton, TN; four grandchildren: Brandon (Janah) Henry and Jared Henry, all of Dayton, TN and twins, Kaley Henry and Kelsey Henry, both of Chattanooga; two great-grandchildren: Maycee Henry and Luke Henry, both of Dayton, TN.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at Lane Funeral Home on Ashland Terrace from 11 am to 12 pm. A graveside service will follow in the National Cemetery beginning at 12:30 pm officiated by Rev. Forrest Prosser and Rev. James B. Buttram, Jr..
