Edward McNew English

Ed English, 82, of Signal Mountain, died Thursday, December 3, 2020.  Ed was President of Lane Funeral Home, Ashland Terrace.  He attended the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and served four years in the United States Air Force.  Ed was a member of The Point Church at Signal.  Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Deborah Coulter English; son, John Coulter English; and granddaughter, Sarah Elizabeth English.  The family will receive friends on Wednesday December 9, 2020 from 11-1pm with service to follow in the Coulter Chapel of Lane Funeral Home with Dr. Sam Greer, Dr. Gregg Hauss and Bill Harvey officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Point Church at Signal.  Interment will be held privately at Chattanooga National Cemetery.  Live-streaming of the service is available by visiting his tribute page on Lanefh.com.
