Donna Lynn Ayers, 67, born Donna Lynn Mansfield, passed peacefully on Wednesday, October 2, 2019 at home with her view of the birds and trees. She was greatly loved by all that knew her. She was a wonderful wife, mother and friend. She greeted everyday with joy, a smile and a cup of coffee. She shared her eternal optimism with everyone in her life.
She loved her work at Target on Hwy 153 and years of work at Plaza 58 Theater. She was an active member at Red Bank Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Leslie Ayers Whitaker, her parents Bill and Louise Mansfield and mother-in-law Mildred Ayers.
She will be greatly missed by her much loved husband of 49 years, Roger Ayers; daughter, Jennifer (Farhan) Mirza; son, Jason Ayers and son, Aaron (Andra) Ayers; brother, Mackey (Mary) Mansfield and brother, Allen (Linda) Mansfield; sisters-in-law Peggy Steele, Judy (Roy) Duncan, Nancy (Lebron) Frazier; nieces, nephews, and countless dear friends.
Visitation will be held at Lane Funeral Home at 601 Ashland Terrace, Chattanooga, Tennessee on Sunday October 6, 2019 from 5-7 pm, Monday, October 7, 2019 and from 12-1 pm and funeral service to follow at 1:00 pm. Following funeral services, she will be laid to rest in Chattanooga National Cemetery at 2:30 pm.
