Donald Lee Wyrick

Donald Lee Wyrick, of Chattanooga, TN went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, March 22, 2018. Mr. Wyrick retired from Dupont after 35 years. Don was a huge supporter of organizations dedicated to bringing displaced Jewish people back to their homeland, and many other charitable organizations, especially those involving children & widows. He was a member of New Haven Baptist Church. He loved God, his family and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and traveling the world. Don also loved spending time with his friends at “Hardee’s University” in Hixson, TN.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Virbie Wofford Wyrick; two brothers, Lavon “Ed” Wyrick and Wendell Wyrick.

Survivors include his wife, the love of his life, M. “Elizabeth” Walker Wyrick; son, Tim Wyrick; daughter, Tara Wyrick Hayes (Brett); step-children, Sean Walker (April), Melony Gardner (Brad); grandchildren: Ashley, Amber, Breanna, Olivia, Alex, Zach and Brent “Baby.” Sisters include Nancy Adams (J.W.) Joyce Tudor, Judy Huffman; sister in laws: Cleo Wyrick, Joyce Wyrick, Barbara Ridge, Sarah Taylor, Earlene Tolbert, Karen Bowman (Rick); brother-in-law, Robert Moody (Shirley); several nieces and nephews; special great-great-niece Payton.
Visitation will be Monday 5:00-8:00 pm and Tuesday 12:00-2:00 pm prior to the service at Lane Funeral Home. Celebration of Life Service will be at 2:00 pm Tuesday in the Chapel, with Pastor Dan Creagan of Ormond Beach, Florida officiating. A Private Committal will follow.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
